The State of NH, as part of its Perkins funding, wrote a grant that brought auto teacher, building construction teachers and math teachers for two weeks over the course of a year. The math teachers helped the CTE teaches to teach math and the CTE teachers helped the math teachers to understand the math imbedded in their programs. As a Director I attended a few sessions. The concept was great. I don't think they needed ten days to accomplish the goals and I think the teachers got a bit "bored". I don't think the teachers got college credit. If you google math and cte you will find the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education.
Locally, we teamed a geometry teacher with a woodworking teacher years ago in a successful program. More recently we teamed a math teacher with a small engines teacher to develop lesson plans. Very successful. The smaller the audience the greater the success - in my opinion.
