I have a SB in my own shop, not school's, but have different software than yours, so.... Have you tried SB website, forum or knowledge base? The folks and users of SB are, as a rule, very helpful.

Here are some links that may assist you. You can send me an email at jmclhs@nospamgmail.guesstheextension with the obvious changes and I'll see if I can help you as well.

Main Site:

Knowledge base:

Hope this helps, contact me if I can be of additional assistance.

I have a Shopbot in my school's shop. We currently are using ArtCam, but are in the process of switching over to MasterCam.

I can probably answer a lot of your questions regarding the Shopbot software and tooling, so don't hesitate to ask. The tutorials I have created will be of no use to you as they are specific to ArtCam and MasterCam.

I have found that if there is anything I can't figure out, I tell one of my better students that I am confused, and they immediately figure out the problem just to make me look bad. It actually works quite well.

I have been to most of the web sites and have find some great information. It was a hope that I would not have to reinvent the wheel. After looking at some of the tutorials at the software site I may work them in.

I have a few student that just can't wait to get on that machine but they are in line after me!

Thanks for the info! I maybe in contect with you for help as I get going.

I used to have a shopbot machine in my garage for a while and I loved it. I train people on how to use TurboCAD for woodworking. I offer a very affordable initial online training session to help you get started …

I have watched most of the Vids. on the shopbot.
Anyone know the cost of the machine and if they have specials for schools? I would like to know the price from soup to nuts or any hidden costs. Thanks
