Mr. B -
I don't know much about this, but I have read other Instructors talk about Perkins grant $$ - I presume this is Federal money, so...
I got $1,500 bucks, no strings attached, from a regional trade group called "North Coast Builder's Exchange" - a trade group for contractors, subs and vendors. For me it was a simple 1 page application and about a two week wait. The bad news is that when I told Admin about getting the grant, they cut my budget by the same amount.
Obviously, I have no idea who is in charge of the ROP/CTE or whatever you call it, but they might know of such groups that would have a vested interest in having some skill-savvy young folks out there.

The bad news is that when I told Admin about getting the grant, they cut my budget by the same amount. ........................................Next time just have them buy you tools and go pick them up.I just left a high school that used perkins money to subplant the Budget. If they ever get audited they will have to re-pay a ton of money.Admins can be your worst enemy. Good Luck.
